Bennett Elementary School is rich in history and in educational excellence. Leesylvania Elementary School is located on land once owned by "Light-Horse Harry" Lee. "Light-Horse Harry" Lee was born at Leesylvania (meaning Lee's woods) on January 29, 1756. Minnieville Elementary School has been a part of the Prince William County Public School System since the doors first opened for the 1972-73 school year. Since then, this school has been a very important and positive member of the community.

Neabsco Elementary School will be a school where students, parents, community, and staff work together to create a positive learning environment with high expectations for the success of all students. At Occoquan School, our students will succeed to their fullest potential. Old Bridge Elementary, a “Community of Life Long Learners,” opened in 1995. At that time, it served students from the former Elizabeth Vaughan, Springwoods and Rockledge attendance areas.

Rockledge, which opened in 1972, is named for the original Rockledge mansion located in Occoquan. The first school to be located within the Lake Ridge community, it is an "open" concept school, which means that it has few completely walled classrooms. This design has promoted a highly collegial atmosphere where teachers collaborate constantly insuring quality instruction throughout the day.

Westridge Elementary opened in the fall of 1989. The school was built to alleviate overcrowding in the elementary schools that serve the western portions of the Lake Ridge communities. Fred M. Lynn Middle School was dedicated October 16, 1964 for Mr. Fred M. Lynn. He started his services on the School Board in 1933 when there were only 3000 children in the school system. Mr. Lynn spent 37 years of service and dedication to the betterment of the Prince William County School System. Thirty-two of those years were spent as a member of the Board of Education, from the Occoquan Magesterial District.

Godwin Middle School is an ethnically diverse learning community of 1100 6th, 7th and 8th grade students located in Prince William County, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C.
